So it’s been a long time since I’ve really been, “active” on a lot of social media. To me, it feels like I’ve drifted off from stuff I like to do, so today, I’m here to tell you all the stuff that has been going on, and some updates to projects that I’m currently working on! Work and School :T
So over the summer, and into the beginning of fall, I have been working part-time at my local sandwich shop. You might not have heard of it before… it’s called, Subway… :T
This job has really opened a lot of doors for me to expand, especially with my ability to purchase equipment that I was unable to acquire BEFORE working. Stuff like my own computer, and even my first DSLR. Even though this stuff might be all fun and dandy, this job takes up a lot of time in my day. Don’t get me wrong, I love working there, I just need to learn how to balance my time wisely. This is my first official time adult-ing… so... it's super scurry. ;~; Because of this, I have been allocating more time to work and trying as hard as I can to evenly balance my time. Another thing that has been really preventing me from being as active as I would like to be is school. Obviously, there’s no way to get around school, but I would rather spend more time on an education than spend the majority of my time on social media and being less productive. I mean who knows… I could learn how to become a YouTuber… pppht… >-<
Video Production and Future Projects
Tailing off of the subject of school, I am also taking a video production class. This class lasts LITERALY half of the school day, so that should probably show you how intense this course is \^o^/. In this class, we work with a bunch of media stuff, like DSLR cameras, XLR mics and sound booths, Adobe Premiere... the list goes on! . We also are able to learn the steps to make a polished film piece. Due to this, I want to take advantage of the knowledge I am learning from this class, in order to increase the overall quality of my videos that I publish. I would also like to use this knowledge to collaborate with other video and media producers, and be able to open up my horizons to more opportunities. With that said, if anyone would like to collaborate on anything, whether it be filming or editing stuff, feel free to shoot me a message. I’d love to get to know people and hopefully make some friends along the way. ^u^ Now with that shameless plug out of the way, I would like to talk about future projects I have planned. In this class, we have a lot of projects we are assigned. As of right now, I know of two projects we have set. A “Day in the life of [Person]” and a PSA video. These two videos will be one of the first professional pieces I have done, so I hope you will look forward to that. I also plan to start back up my gaming series soon, so keep an eye out for that. I hope to have everything that I need for commentating set and ready for filming by October 15th, so make sure to stay tuned for all of that fun jazz! Also, I will be starting a continuous journal entry here on Deviant Art, that will stay, (as far as I can tell) up to date with any of my current projects. This journal will include a list of projects being produced, their overall progress with a percentage value, and their forecasted date of release. This will include my professional pieces as well as my casual YouTube content. Wrapping Up
I hope you didn’t get too bored listening to me ramble on about random stuff, but if you did make it through this far, then I thank you very much for taking time out of your day to read this. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to note me or even message me on my other sites.
WTF with the shameless plugs man!
In all seriousness though, thank you all so much for reading this. If you feel at all inclined to keep up-to-date with anything I do, make sure to follow AppleOdyssey on Twitter . I hope you all look forward to the projects I have planned, and I hope to be more active once again.
Hello everyone, what's going on, AppleElectricity here! Some of you might have noticed a lot of inactivity on all of my accounts recently. Well today I'm here to address some issues and introduce future projects I have planned. Keep in mind that what I address is subject to change, but will not affect the status of any of my accounts.
1: Media production and a new computer
For the past 2 years, I have been using an Asus laptop. This device has a very bad processor and integrated graphics, both of which are barely able to run Minecraft. (Don't get me wrong, it's a great computer, but it does not have what I need to produce content or game on.) My way to address this issue and a few others is to build my own computer. This new build will include a lot of hardware and software that I can use to create quality content and run the latest games.
Specifications: Case: Nanoxia Deep Silence 3 Motherboard: Asus Gene VIII mATX Processor: Intel Core i7 6700k Graphics Card: Asus GTX 970 Turbo Operating System: Windows 10
This build also means 2 other things: the ability to produce more frequent and better YouTube content and to connect with friends and other people who are interested! (Yes... You!)
I plan to have this computer done by the beginning of summer so I will have the entire summer to focus on production and friends.
2. YouTube Channel and Production
If you follow me on Twitter or YouTube, (or both) you might have noticed a "slight" inactivity. Regarding my YouTube channel: my current series that I have been doing since November, (Goldeneye 007) has been a very fun experience, but the last few episodes have been very... difficult to play and edit, to say the least. I am not quitting the series or the channel as a whole, but I am going to slow down the production until I have more time to dedicate all my attention to creating QUALITY content. I also would like to, (during the summer) create new series like Skyrim, GTA V, Undertale or even the occasional Minecraft. I also have plans to do collaborations with other YouTubers and friends in the near future so make sure to keep an eye out for that. Regarding Twitter: you may have noticed for the past few months, activity... And moral, have been slowly declining. This is due to a lot of outside stressors that have been really pressing. I don't want to draw attention to it or sound pitiful, but I want to thank ALL OF YOU who have been there with support. You know who you are! o3o
Wrapping up, I want to thank all of you once again for all the support you have shown. Hopefully once school and finals end, I will be able to hop back on the game train and re-connect with friends and finally do some actual YouTube stuff!
That's about it for now! Thank you all so much again, and I will see you all later!
